Au Pairs
A great way to learn the culture and language in a family setting, the Au Pair experience is the perfect way to learn about Irish family life.
The term Au Pair is French, translated to English this means 'on equal terms'. By welcoming an Au Pair into the family it will be an enriching experience for both the family and the Au Pair.
The Au Pair is a temporary member of their carefully chosen Irish family. It is in most cases a young girl who is willing to help the family and to learn a foreign language and culture. In exchange for full board and room plus pocket money the au pair will help with the children and with regular light housework. Housework will include hovering, ironing and sometimes cooking.
We accept girls from age 18 to age 35. We require a minimum stay of 3 months, most families here like to take an Au Pair for as long as possible. We welcome and place Au Pairs for any term from 3 months to 2 years.
Au Pair Exchange:
Host mother assistance for 15 h + 1 nights babysitting per week in exchange for full board and laundry facilities.
Au Pair Exchange 2:
20 hours help plus 1 night baby-sitting for €50 per week.
If for any reason the au pair is not happy we will change her family.
If the family needs more hours than this they will pay the Au Pair accordingly. Some families need shorter hours and no baby- sitting. We have a good relationship with all of our girls, we see them in class we have a coffee and a chat.
